Vodafone Albania is one of the largest telecommunication companies in Albania. The mobile business is a highly competitive environment. Succeeding in such market requires the development of strategies that differentiate the services, the products and market approach. Achieving customer intimacy, tracking market trends and optimizing investments are the biggest challenge in this business.

For this reason Vodafone Albania decided to invest in a new solution that would follow under their strategy, help in decision making, improve customer solutions and increase revenue and performance. This new reporting solution would treat billions of records and terabytes of data coming from different operational sources and bring every day clear and structured reports and dashboards.

The Solution

 Konsort introduced Data Warehouse System as a solution for the challenges raised by Vodafone.The data warehouse is a centralized, secure solution that provides high level of data accuracy. The information is processed automatically and centrally, increasing efficiency and sophisticated control by avoiding manual work.

The system was built to produce every day hundreds of reports and load millions of records from multiple data sources (MSC, Postpaid, Prepaid, BMD, Financial, etc). It was designed having in mind the future needs of business model of Vodafone Albania and the special needs of Finance, Marketing, Sales and Technical departments. The implemented solution was built on Oracle and IBM ETL technology. The Data Warehouse System was built based on a strict methodology that assured a successful implementation under tight deadlines.The system development was accompanied with training of Vodafone team, who are today successfully running the system.

Today, Vodafone Albania has an accurate, on-time view on its customers’ needs, products, sales, performance and market trends. The system now provides hundreds of reports for almost all Vodafone Albania departments and is continuously enriched every year with new modules and features by Konsort team.
